DRILLING PULSATION DAMPENER (DPD)
Drilling DPD, or Dynamic Pressure Drilling, is a drilling technology that use downhole pressure manipulation to achieve wellbore objectives. DPD technologies include Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD), Underbalanced Drilling (UBD), and Pressure Control Managed Drilling (PMCD).
DPD is especially suited for drilling in challenging formations, such as those that are highly fractured or depleted. They can also be used to drill wells that are located in sensitive environmental areas.
This is a relatively new technology, but it is rapidly gaining acceptance in the oil and gas industry.
Features of INTEGRATED® Drilling Pulsation Dampeners (IDPD™):
- Single piece construction with no girth welds.
- Inside surface machined fro smooth diaphragm movement.
- Field replaceable top and bottom plates reducing downtime.
- IDPD™ size range from 10 gallon to 20 gallon.
- Pressure rating from 5,000 psig to 7,500 psi.
- Diaphragm materials available are Nitrile (NBR), Hydrogenated Nitrile (HNBR) or Fluorocarbon (FKM).
- Diaphragm equipped with stabilizer to eliminate possible folding and entrapment of fluids resulting in increased diaphragm life.
- Field replaceable diaphragms reduce maintenance time.
- Diaphragms can be replaced without removing the unit from the line.
- All elastomeric components supplied within INTEGRATED® Pulsation Dampeners as original equipment and / or furnished as replacement parts are under Integrated engineered design and quality control.
- Integrated Equipment’s standard manufacturer’s warranty (available upon request).
Sizing and Selection of Pulsation Dampener:
Pulsation Dampener selection is a critical process which requires a thorough knowledge of a pressure system, the system components, and the fluid characteristics. Please contact Integrated for assistance in making sure the Pulsation Dampener you select is right for your specific application.
